PVC PROFILES

Nowadays we have many producers who manufacture and compete in offering different types of profiles. Each manufacturer has developed his own system with specific technic and aesthetic features. Profile systems with 3, 4, 5, 6 and more compartments have been developed. Manufacture technology was improved from the point of environmental protection so today instead of lead and cadmium stabilizers, it uses calcium and zink.

The conductivity coefficient of PVC profiles as per a number of compartments:

Three-compartment U = 1,37 W/m2K
Four-compartment U = 1,21 W/m2K
Five-compartment U = 1,12 W/m2K

PVC profiles are additionally reinforced by steel profiles in order to increase profile resistance to bending, twisting and stretching forces.

PVC profiles are available in a wide range of colours what is achieved by lamination or co-extrusion of PVC profiles. Lamination is performed by the most qualitative PVC foils and it can be done optionally, unilaterally or bilaterally. Other method, co-extrusion, implies applying colored acryling sheet on visible surfaces, which is exceptionally resistable to scratching and UV radiation.

PVC profiles are thermal insulators which provide the cheapest windows and doors manufacture in comparison with aluminium constructions taking into account similar coefficient of thermal transmittance. Windows and doors in the house contribute to 12% -25% of thermal balance. That is significant because it shows that thermal qualitative PVC profiles contribute to saving of energy consumption during room heating and cooling.
